Go-Strange-Ghost Range
The Plot
Oh no! You've been waylaid returning almost-overdue books to the library. You've always had a slightly irrational fear of book fines, even if they're just a dime, and often that works great to get books read. But your latest misstep you enter into a world full of much odder fears...
Well, okay, not a HUGE world. There are only five rooms and six points to score, based on commands to derive from room or item names. And each room has graphics! Lovingly crafted, 256x40 pixelated graphics! And you have three, count 'em, three entities to help you defeat the scary ghost who darn near paralyzes you at the beginning. With the help of some scary, scary eyes.
There's also an in-game map and a THINK command, for if you figure one command but aren't ready, because you don't have all the friends you need. And I have a walkthrough if you are really stuck on a puzzle.
History and Technical Details
Go-Strange-Ghost range was written in Adventuron for EctoComp Petite Mort 2025. I hope you enjoy it. Number two and three are Chez Dark Shade Arc and Dusk, Airy, Does Carry.
My first (somewhat longer) Adventuron game was Quirky Test, and two other much longer games with the same mechanics as this are Why Pout and Us Too. This game actually came directly from tying up loose ends with Quirky Test. I was looking through my notes in July and said "ha-ha, if I wanted to write an EctoComp game, I bet I could link this and that and the other together."
Given that this was written in four (non-continuous) hours, the implementation isn't VERY detailed (e.g. you'll want to use nouns if you can,) but I still would like to know about bugs, typos, loose ends, what seems unfair, etc. Report them in the comments, or in the GitHub repository, whichever works better. TSTART starts a transcript.
KNOWN BUGS
In my repo, I've recorded minor implementation as well as _ GHOST to start. This feels like the most stable of my three entries, but I still think I can add a bit to it for the post-comp release.

This has such a unique linguistic mechanic and I've never played a game like it - very creative! Once I'd gotten used to solving the oronym puzzles, I really enjoyed playing the game and exploring all the different rooms. A colourful cast of supporting characters too!
